Redevelopment does not only affect residents.
The Brownlie neighbourhood has a diverse number of key stakeholders including government, private businesses and employees, traffic engineers, health providers, community facilities and recreation operators. The process must involve communicating with these groups as these groups also make up the Brownlie neighbourhood and community and have specific skills to help in masterplanning.
The attached is the workshop summary, however, core discussion topics included;
- Each stakeholders objectives.
- Possible new bus routes.
- Re-introduction of onsite health facilities.
- Assessment of community facilities, their usage and future; and
- Need for better communication between service providers – resulted in the setting up of network lunches on a regular basis.
