To Brownlie Neighbourhood
The Department of Housing, in Partnership with the City of Canning, is in the process of creating a masterplan for Bentley’s Brownlie community. The masterplan will help shape the redevelopment of this unique precinct.
This is a big project and are asking the community and others with an interest in the project to contribute to the plan, as a way of ensuring that everyone involved is given a say in shaping the communities future.
We are in the early stages of the masterplan. This involves engaging with the Brownlie neighbourhood to find out what you think and want for your community.
In July 2009 the Department of Housing and the City of Canning hosted the first of three community and stakeholder workshops to help determine community needs.
The workshops have been a great opportunity for residents to speak face-to-face with the decision makers about their own experiences within the Brownlie neighbourhood and pass-on some of their hopes for the planning project.
